At Small Business Education, we won’t let your Data Privacy fall through the cracks. Gaining visibility into your Firm includes understanding how we collect, use, and share your information when you are a visitor to a Small Business Education website or a subscriber of the Small Business Education Application and Services (collectively, the “Services”).
This refers to any information that identifies you personally, including contact information, such as your name, e-mail address, company name, address, phone number, and other information about yourself or your business. Personal Information can also include information about any transactions, both free and paid, that you enter into on the Websites, and information about you that is available on the internet, such as from Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Google, or publicly available information that we acquire from service providers.
Personal Information also includes System Information about your computer (IP address, browser type, and browser version) and Usage Information (pages/content viewed, referred pages, and visit length). This will be connected to Personal Information provided when you subscribe to our Services.
This refers to credit or debit card numbers, personal financial account information, Social Security numbers, passport numbers, driver’s license numbers or similar personal identifiers, racial or ethnic origin, physical or mental health condition or information, other employment, financial or health information, or information about individuals under the age of 16.
Subscribers provide payment information including credit card information, which is stored with a PCI-Compliant processor.

Use of Services by our Subscribers
The Small Business Education services allow subscribers to record and organize information about their customers (“Clients”) to manage and track client work. You may provide information about your Authorized Users, as well as your Clients.
We may work with our customers to help them provide notice to their visitors about their data collection, processing, and usage.
Information That We Collect
We automatically collect System and Usage data for all users of our Services.
Small Business Education requires registration to use our Services. At a minimum, we require Company Name and Phone Number for the Organization, and Name and Email address of each Authorized User. Additionally, users may optionally provide phone number and mailing address. Some or all of this information may be retrieved automatically through available opt-in Integrations with Third Party systems, such as Quickbooks.
Information Collected From Other Websites & Third Parties
We may use third-party services to collect publicly-available information about Authorized Users, including without limitation social media information, profile information, gender, company, job titles, photos, physical addresses, and website URLs based on the email addresses input into the Services.
What Do We Do with the Data?
All the information provided to and collected by the Services, including personally identifiable data, are used to:
Identify Authorized Users and secure their accounts and track their preferences.
Provide the Services you request as part of the Agreement, which may include detection and resolution of security or technical issues.
Provide timely and accurate support in response to your comments and questions
Notify you regarding your account and requested Services, such as invoices, confirmations, and usage summaries
Communicate with you about promotions, new features and products from Small Business Education, and for other general marketing purposes
Better understand how you engage with the Services to provide an enhanced experience and to improve our Website and Services
Protect, investigate, and deter against fraudulent, unauthorized, or illegal activities
In order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, or as otherwise required by law.
We may post subscriber testimonials and comments on our Website, which may contain Personal Information. We will always obtain the written consent of the subscriber prior to posting.
Where Do We Store the Data?
All data currently resides in and is processed within the United States of America. In order to provide the best experience for all of our customers, we may decide to process information in other countries, as well. For any Personal Information that may be transferred from the European Economic Area, a Data Processing Addendum may be obtained by contacting email@example.com.
All Personal Information is stored as long as necessary to provide our Services and may be stored indefinitely, unless otherwise requested.
What about Cookies or Tracking Data?
We use session cookies to distinguish individual users, remember when they are logged in, and store users’ preferences. We also use third-party analytics cookies and tracking mechanisms to better understand how our Authorized Users and visitors interact with the Website and Services.
We use retargeting cookies that allow us to direct advertisements to visitors who have viewed our Website in the past.

This includes third party companies and individuals employed by us to facilitate our Services, including the provision of maintenance services, database management, Web analytics, and general improvement of the Services.

If you are a client of a Small Business Education subscriber, contact that subscriber directly to resolve your request. Small Business Education will forward any requests from clients regarding their personal information directly to the responsible subscriber and will work with them to resolve the request as necessary.
As a subscriber, you may access, update, or delete the data you have supplied to the Services at any time by logging into your account. For any other requests or assistance, reach out to us at email@example.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
Visitors and Subscribers who reside in European Economic Area (“EEA”) may have additional rights regarding their Personal Information and may refer to https://smallbusinesseducation.com/gdpr for more information.
How to I opt out?
You may update your settings in the Services at any time to reduce the number of notifications you receive from the application. You may also unsubscribe to any email communications you receive by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in the footer of each message.
You may be able to change the preferences on your browser or device to prevent or limit your device’s acceptance of cookies, but this may prevent you from taking advantage of some of our features.
Information About Children
The Services are not intended for or targeted at children under 18, and we do not knowingly or intentionally collect information about children under 18.
